To capture the vast potential of polyketones, it is critical that basic
polymer research is undertaken, from fundamental activities to the
development of novel formulations and the support of specific applied
materials technologies. |
Over the past four years, OPM has undertaken initiatives in the
aforementioned areas and, as a result, has developed significant
intellectual properties. In particular, we endeavor to develop advanced
materials that meet the highly demanding requirements of leading-edge
technology-based enterprises. Specific areas of polymer engineering
expertise are the manipulation of key mechanical, thermal, electrical, and
rheological properties of our OXPEKK® materials.
Government-funded Thermoplastic Polymer Research
OPM actively pursues various forms of government funding in order to
advance its applied materials technology. Research programs undertaken
have been both high-risk long-term projects and near-term applied
technologies programs. Our team has experience with ATP, SBIR, STTR, and
YI programs.
Joint Development Programs in Polymer Technology
Areas of interest for applied materials technology research in
thermoplastics include but are not limited to:
- Military/aerospace components
