OXPEKK® Applications and Integrated Project Services

Our advanced engineering materials can be utilized in numerous high purity and other applications. Whether your application requires high temperature resistance, high purity plastics, outstanding mechanical properties, or extreme chemical resistance, OXPEKK® polymers can be a solution. Typical application market segments for our polymers are:

Medical/Implantable Plastics and High Purity Applications
Stiffness similar to bone; excellent abrasion resistance; stronger than PEEK; successful 52-week biocompatibility study; available radiolucent formula; compatible with all sterilization methods.

Plastics for Chemical Process Industry
High stiffness high elongation formulations; highest Tg for High Pressure-High Temperature (HP/HT); excellent chemical resistance; excellent wear properties.

Plastics for Space and Defense Industry
Carbon composites stiffer than some Al at half the weight; melt processable polymers;
excellent chemical resistance; radar non-reflecting (stealth).

Plastics for Semiconductor Industry
Lower sodium than PEEK (ionic purity); stiffer than PEEK; highest Tg polyketone commercially available; excellent chemical resistance.

Plastics for Electronic and Communications Industry
Excellent temperature resistance; insulative or conductive formulations; chemical resistant; very low CTE.

Integrated Project Services
We are aware that many firms who require advanced materials polymeric solutions are experts in their technology, but may not be adequately experienced in the overlapping technologies required to efficiently develop components and systems comprised of our advanced engineering materials. Even in cases where such competencies do exist, limits on staff and resources may hinder innovation based upon new materials technologies.

Since we fully appreciate this potential challenge, Oxford Performance Materials is pleased to propose Integrated Product Services (IPS). IPS offers a turnkey approach to component and systems development. Our IPS teams consist of an IPS team leader who will have broad experience in the relevant technical skills as identified by the project scope. The team leader will then be responsible for assembling the key technical specialists required to develop and implement the solution.

Our technical specialists include but are not limited to:

  • Materials Science Engineering
  • Polymer Process Engineering - Mold Flow Analysis
  • Mold Design Engineering
  • Part Design Engineering - Finite Element Analysis
  • Machining and Assembly

As a leading polymer company, we are always interested in developing new high purity applications, engineering materials, and polymer solutions. If you have an application that may require our IPS services, please send a confidential email to IPS@oxfordpm.com.
